Legal

• Transgender Law Center: Nationwide organization that provides remote legal resources for the TGI community. 

• Legal Aid at Work: Free legal services for workers in CA. They partner with people to help them understand and assert their workplace rights. They also advocate for employment laws and systems that empower low-paid workers and marginalized communities.

• The Public Law Center: Nonprofit that offers free legal services to low income residents of Orange County. They provide legal services for subsidized housing termination (section 8 vouchers, unlawful detainer/eviction defense, security deposit refunds, housing conditions, enforcement of the mobile home residency law, affordable housing advocacy, training on housing rights, forming resident associations, housing discrimination and disability rights, enforcement of CA land use laws, and mobile home title disputes. 

• A New Way of Life: Nonprofit that assists with housing, legal service, family reunification, advocacy, and leadership development.

• VIP Mental Health Center/ The Alexis Project: They provide gender affirming medical care and mental health services for the TGI community. They only accept Medi-Cal.

• Tranquility Recovery Center: Recovery House

• Westwind Recovery a trusted leader in diagnosing and treating the LGBT community suffering from addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders from California. 
  Translatina Coalition: Nonprofit that advocacy and leadership focused. They can also help with case management, food, transportation, clothing, and skills building related to entrepreneurship. 

• Bienestar: Community based social services organization that focuses on identifying and addressing emerging health issues faced by the Latinx and LGBTQ+ community in the Los Angeles County Community. Services include food bank, HIV services, PEP, PrEP, MAT, emergency assistance, career building workshops, mental health, and prevention education.

• The Trevor Project: 24/7 suicide hotline for LGBTQAI2+ Community (Ph: 866-488-7386)

• Trans Lifeline: National hotline by trans folks for trans folks. Peer support, crisis intervention, and resource center. (Ph: 877-565-8860) 

• NAMI: 24/7 suicide hotline and support groups 

• Project Q: A non-profit that provides a safe space for LGBTQIA+ youth by using hair and self empowerment as a form of social justice. They do free haircuts and mental health services.

• Union Trans GNC: A non-profit that works alongside the Translatina Coalition to provide case management for individuals who have been victims of violence and hate crimes. They assist with gender and name change, support groups, food bank, and therapy.

• Thrive Lifeline: If you’re experiencing a mental health crisis and need to chat with a qualified crisis responder.

• Addiction Center: Resource for those who are struggling with substance use disorders and behavioral and mental health disorders.

• LGBTQ+ Cancer Support: Resource for LGBTQIA+ people impacted by cancer.
